The beautiful 1,172-hectare Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve , located on the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula in Puntarenas province, is the oldest protected area in Costa Rica’s famous system of national parks and nature reserves and home to one of the few remaining pockets of tropical dry forest.
One of the trails leads you to the white sandy beach in front of the Island of Cabo Blanco and takes 4 hours.
The entrance of the nature reserve is at 4 miles from Star Mountain when the road to Cabuya is drivable.
This tour is available from Mal Pais, Santa Teresa and Montezuma areas.
